More Than A Summer Fling: April Pet Adoption Events

Spring has sprung and summer is just around the corner making it the perfect time to welcome a bouncing new pet into the family. April is chock full of plenty of events to pick up a pet of your own or donate to one of Austin’s many, amazing animal shelters and foster homes. Check it out:

Fri. April 22, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Stop by Natural Grocers on 10115 N. Mopac Expressway to celebrate Earth Day and check out Austin Pets Alive! and some Earth loving adoptable pets.

Sat. April 23, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

The Sweetwater Wildflower Festival wouldn’t be so sweet without some lovable pups. Stop by for family fun, wildflowers and to meet some of Austin Pets Alive! great adoptable pets.

Sat. April 23, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Check out the Tomlinson’s Pet Store located on Circle C to meet some the amazing new pups at Austin Dog Rescue.

Wed. April 27, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Texas Humane Heroes hosts the 11th annual Dog Leg Classic competitive golf experience. Sign up as a player, a team or just come along for the special happy hour featuring cover band More Cowbell. All proceeds go towards helping homeless dogs in Austin!

Sat. April 30th, 12 – 3 p.m.
